Kylian Mbappe came off the bench to score a penalty as Paris St-Germain continued their charge towards the Ligue 1 title with victory at Nantes.

The France striker was left out of the starting line-up the day after he told the French club he intends to leave at the end of the season.

Lucas Hernandez got the opener in the second half with a deflected strike.

Mbappe then won and converted a spot-kick to seal a victory that means PSG are 14 points clear at the top.

The former Monaco forward's deal with PSG is scheduled to expire in the summer and he has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

He also scored in the Champions League in midweek as the French champions beat Real Sociedad in their last-16 first-leg match.

It was his fourth goal in Europe's top competition this season and he now has 21 goals in the domestic league in this campaign.

Overall, he has 244 goals and 93 assists in 290 games for PSG and has helped the club to five Ligue 1 title wins.

Robert Lewandowski took his La Liga tally this season to 13 goals in 24 matches

Barcelona returned to winning ways by nicking a 2-1 victory at Celta Vigo as Robert Lewandowski kept his cool to convert a retaken 97th-minute penalty.

The Poland striker put the visitors, who drew 3-3 at Granada last weekend, ahead with a powerful angled drive.

Iago Aspas levelled for Celta, who are fourth bottom of La Liga, shortly after the restart with a deflected strike.

But Lewandowski clinched victory from the spot, leaving third-placed Barca seven points behind Real Madrid.

Leaders Real, who travel to city rivals Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, are five points clear of second-placed Girona, who go to Athletic Bilbao on Monday.

Barcelona have claimed 24 points with goals scored after the 76th minute - the most in the Spanish top-flight this season.

The Catalans are also unbeaten in four matches since head coach Xavi announced he would step down at the end of the season.

Xavi's side face Napoli on Wednesday in the Champions League last 16, with the European competition being their last realistic chance of silverware this season.

Atletico Madrid are fourth, three points behind Barca, after they thrashed visitors Las Palmas 5-0 on Saturday.

Jeremie Frimpong has nine goals and 10 assists in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen this season

Bayer Leverkusen moved eight points clear of Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga after a narrow victory at mid-table Heidenheim.

Jeremie Frimpong put Xabi Alonso's unbeaten side in front in first-half injury time with a deflected effort.

Amine Adli added a second after the interval, rounding goalkeeper Kevin Muller before slotting home.

Tim Kleindienst pulled one back for Heidenheim with four minutes left but Leverkusen managed to hold on.

Second-placed Bayern can reduce the deficit on their Bundesliga title rivals with victory at Bochum on Sunday.

Leverkusen's victory means they have now gone a record-equalling 32 games without losing.

Bayern went undefeated in 32 consecutive competitive matches under Hansi Flick from 2019 to 2020.

Leverkusen are chasing their first Bundesliga title having finished as runners-up in 1996-97, 1998-99, 1999-2000, 2001-02 and 2010-11.
